Associate Product Manager, Advertising Products

Role Overview

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to join our Technology team working on Advertising related product areas. You must possess strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data and summarize actionable recommendations. You will be gathering business requirements to optimize our advertising performance, designing user stories and wireframes, and working with stakeholders across our Commercial teams to prioritize opportunities. Using Agile, our software delivery methodology, and working alongside our talented team of software engineers, you will deliver new features to grow and optimize our advertising offering and maximize revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new and extension of existing digital advertising products at Time Out, including optimization of our pre-bid auction, video-scaling, viewability and segmentation. 
  • Have an understanding of how the wider commercial department works, as well as the core components of media technology, supply side platforms, buy side platforms and analytics tools. 
  • Monitor marketplace trends with a goal of identifying new opportunities for revenue growth, present findings to internal stakeholders and recommend appropriate action. 
  • Work closely with Commercial and Editorial stakeholders to understand company goals and business requirements and develop recommendations to meet those needs.
  • Create and present product specifications, user stories & relevant metrics for project success.
  • Measure the success of features after release, present reports/analysis that contain valuable, actionable insight, and optimize performance through data-driven iteration.
  • Support the QA process to assure the delivery of the requested features on time with the right quality. 
  • Participate in your team’s regular activities: grooming backlogs, tracking product roadmaps, updating relevant business stakeholders, etc.

 

Skills and Experience

  • Strong written and verbal English and communication / presentation skills.
  • Organizational competency; ability to keep track of multiple projects.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and draw insights from data.
  • 1+ years product experience at a consumer web company
  • 1+ years working with and integrating ad technologies such as SSPs, DMPs, DSPs, Ad Exchanges, Ad Servers a major plus
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, web analytics and knowledge of SQL a plus
  • Ability to work well in a cross functional environment with many stakeholders.
  • 2:1 (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Marketing or a related field is desired.
