Time Out is about to embark on a period of sustained growth as we invest heavily in our web, video, social and experiential platforms. We are creating a truly audience first, 360 digital and experiential brand, something truly unique in the media landscape as we create a world leading destination for cultural exploration and unique experiences.

Central to our growth are creative solutions, these are Time Out’s large-scale commercial content and partnerships activity. We are searching for someone to take on a key role in mining creative solutions briefs and leading Time Out’s response with creative ideas that take in multiple areas of our business – from digital to social and video to live events.

This role is about authentically telling brand stories across our many platforms. The role’s primary responsibility is to drive incremental revenue via a defined West End agency patch, working with the wider commercial and creative strategy teams. This role sits at the heart of Time Out; it is diverse and rewarding and involves, pitching large-scale content proposals, taking part in ideation sessions, and working proactively with our editorial team on content solutions. It’s a real opportunity to shape a new and exciting phase of one of the world’s most respected media brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Nurture and grow relationships in planning and partnership teams across your agency patch. There is also the opportunity to build relationships with clients.
• Work with the wider commercial team to produce industry-leading, multi-platform content ideas both proactively and in response to briefs.
• Construct presentations and thought leadership pieces based on Time Out’s core values.
• Work closely with the other members of the team to identify sponsorship opportunities with an emphasis on creativity and innovation.
• Work closely with other internal departments including but not exclusively Creative Solutions, Project Management, Branded Content, Editorial, e-Commerce and Time Out Markets to ensure integrated and authentic solutions are offered.
• Oversee the deliverables for booked campaigns, working with the team in order to meet challenging deadlines.
• Cover and back-up on pitches when required.
• Be present at Time Out brand events in support of live commercial campaigns.
• Build strong interdepartmental relationships throughout Time Out.
• Share market/client information internally to help the development of future business.


• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in content partnerships within media owner or media agency.
• Hold relationships with planning and partnership teams within Publicis, Aegis, Omnicom or Group M agency groups.
• A very strong team player and naturally collaborative mindset.
• Ability to construct, pitch and close complex cross platform campaigns.
• Great presentation skills.
• Comfortable brainstorming and sharing ideas.
• Able to construct stories for the purposes of pitching and talking about ideas.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Slides.
• Ability to manage other people and projects.
• Able to establish and maintain influential relationships, especially within media agencies.
• Is confident enough to deal with people of all levels, from Account Executive to MD.
• Demonstrates a good understanding of client’s business needs.
• Has accurate attention to detail and has a good understanding of costs and profit margins.
• Has the ability to pitch discussions at the right level.
• Enthusiastic with a positive outlook.
• Has strong numeric skills.
• Able to work with facts and figures.


• Strong contacts with agency partnership and planning teams.
• Knowledge of and enthusiasm for culture and entertainment.
• Demonstrates good consumer understanding and insights.
