Principal Product Design Researcher

Role Overview

Principal Product Design Researcher passionate about the customer experience in the digital space. The role will be focused on the following:

• checkout.timeout.com
• UX guidelines
• UX designs systems & data analytics

The individuals will be responsible for insights and discoveries that span various projects and platforms. Working in conjunction with UX Design and Product Managers, they will be a critical part of the team to ensure that there is a clear line of sight between customer behaviour and customer business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be an advocate for good usability and very familiar with UX/UI best practices for Publishing & eCommerce and convincingly leverage those to present insights and observations to encourage action with team decision-makers.
• Bring a passion for our business, our customers, and all elements of the customer experience. You will be able to bring new strengths and ideas to our team.
• Be a clear communicator who is confident at solving problems and delivering recommendations based on the company goals. You will be results-driven, highly organized, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have excellent attention to detail. Experience working in agile teams is important.

Skills and Experience

• A degree in Human-Centered Design, Cognitive Psychology, UX, or equivalent research relevant area.
• 5+ years experience working in a video/web/app/interactive related field.
• Strong research methods to accurately investigate design opportunities, with expertise in running usability tests, interviews, and surveys using prototypes or live versions of products. You will have strong knowledge of usertesting.com, Qualtrics, or similar tools.
• Technical proficiency in standard MS Office tools specifically PowerPoint or Keynote. Strong experience with analytics, data measurement tools, and design tools.
