Product Manager, Distribution & Engagement

Role Overview

We are looking for a consumer-focused Product Manager to join our Technology team to work on features development on our website and distribution channels, ie: FBIA, AppleNews and Social Channels. You will be gathering business requirements, designing user stories, and creating and prioritizing the product backlog. You will be comfortable digging into the details, working closely with our global Editorial and CRM teams and conducting user research. Your responsibilities will include defining KPIs, analyzing performance, identifying opportunities, and making decisions supported by qualitative and quantitative data. Using Agile, our software delivery methodology, and working alongside our talented team of software engineers, you will be focusing on increasing our digital reach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

● Conduct industry and competitive analysis as well as user research to inform product development.
● Create and present product specifications, user stories & relevant metrics for project success.
● Keen attention to detail with an ability to troubleshoot.
● Support the QA process to ensure the delivery of the requested features on time with the right quality.
● Measure the success of features after release and optimize their performance through data-driven iteration and propose improvements/alternative approaches.
● Communicate out changes to the platform and assist with training as needed.
● Define and conduct A/B tests to support product development.
● Participate in and lead your team’s regular activities: grooming backlogs, tracking product roadmaps, updating relevant business stakeholders, etc.
● Get the best out of those around you by operating as a supportive team member to engineers, data analysts, designers and others throughout the agile development process.

Skills and Experience

● Strong written and verbal English and communication / presentation skills.
● 3+ years of product experience at a media or consumer web company.
● Proven experience in product development in an Agile environment.
● Organizational competency: ability to keep track of multiple projects.
● Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and draw insights from data.
● High level of proficiency with analytics tools (Excel, Looker, Adobe Experience Cloud, knowledge of SQL a plus) and making data-driven decisions.
● Understanding of SEO a plus.
● Ability to work well in a cross functional environment with many stakeholders.
