Account Manager

Role Overview

This is an opportunity to join Time Out, a multi-national brand with cross-platform media and experiential brand activation offerings. 

The Account Manager role sits at the nexus of Sales and Creative Solutions, playing a pivotal role in creating compelling opportunities and driving client success and retention.   Pre-sale, this candidate will work closely with Sales and Creative Solutions to develop RFP responses and media plans, and have oversight for campaign execution and client communications from signature through to activation and post-analysis.

Key Responsibilities

General

  • Expectation that you are, and stay, current on media, social and mobile trends.
  • Apply your knowledge of media and the digital asset landscape to recommend innovative solutions.
  • Participate in development of third-party relationships to bring new opportunities to our sales portfolio, optimize our workflow and expand our audience reach.
  • Thorough knowledge of social media and how to apply and activate these opportunities to our media offering.

Pre-Sale

  • Participate in internal and client-facing brainstorming sessions to ensure that there is clear understanding and communication of RFP direction and KPIs that will be applicable in managing and optimizing the campaign.
  • Responsible for media plan development exercising a creative use of Time Out assets.
    ComScore analysis for RFP responses.

Pre-Launch

  • Participate in kick-off calls with client and internal stakeholders including Sales, Creative Services, Events, Editorial.
  • Communicate to client required deliverables and deadlines for branded assets (e.g. digital ads, email assets, experiential assets, etc.).
  • Traffic assets to relevant departments for implementation (e.g. Ad Ops, email production)

Post-Launch

  • Maintain Campaign Sheet for all digital campaigns, including advertiser, corresponding Sales rep, site, creative contact, revenue and notes. 
  • Monitor campaigns according to agreed upon schedule (e.g. weekly, monthly) and relay pacing and action items to stakeholders. 
  • Work with Ad Ops on optimization recommendations or delivery troubleshooting.
  • Pull pacing reports as required (e.g. DFP for web display, Omniture ad hoc for custom content) for client, Sales Rep, Events and Creative Solutions.
  • Create EOC (End of Campaign) reports from DFP, MAPP and, when applicable, Omniture, upon campaign completion.
  • Create wrap up reports documenting campaign performance to ensure client KPIs were met.

AdPoint Management

  • Book all revenue in Ad Point upon receipt of signed IOs from Sales.

Finance

  • The Account Manager also plays a pivotal role internally to ensure that delivered programs are validated and documented for billing.
  • Trouble shoot invoicing errors by researching account history and providing Finance with details needed such as IOs, digital tear sheets, etc.
  • Assist Ad Ops and Finance with monthly reconciliation process.

Skills and Experience

  • Account Management or relevant experience.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence at all levels of the client and internal organization.
  • Experience working with social campaign development including fluency in paid, earned and boosted campaigns.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in results driven environment with proven ability to manage multiple projects while paying strict attention to detail.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment
  • Natural relationship builder
  • Demonstrates integrity, reliability and maturity
  • 5+ years of digital media experience
  • English language proficiency required.
