Nous aimons ce que nous faisons – et ça se voit ! Time Out Market est la division de Time Out qui fait vivre notre cuisine et nos expériences culturelles pour nos invités, lecteurs et clients.


Nous ouvrons un nouveau Time Out Market à Montréal en collaboration avec nos partenaires, Ivanhoe Cambridge, dans le cadre d’un contrat de gestion et de location.


Nos ambassadeurs sont la première impression du marché et doivent fournir des informations claires à chaque client qui arrive pour s’assurer que chacun profite d’une expérience mémorable à chaque visite.

 

Responsabilités principales:

      Surveiller les entrées et les sorties, et accueillir les invités à leur arrivée

      Fournir aux clients des informations sur le Marché à leur arrivée pour améliorer leur expérience

      Remercier sincèrement chaque invité à son départ en l’invitant à revenir

      Surveiller les invités qui entrent et sortent et s’assurer qu’aucun aliment ou boisson extérieur n’entre dans le Marché et qu’aucune boisson alcoolisée ne sorte du Marché

      Informer la direction et la sécurité de tout incident ou incident potentiel

      Accomplir toutes les tâches assignées telles qu’elles sont décrites dans vos listes de vérification d’ouverture, d’après-midi et de fermeture

      Répondre rapidement aux appels et fournir l’information correctement

      Accomplir toutes les tâches administratives avec compétence, efficacité, rigueur et en temps opportun

      Mettre à jour tous les numéros de téléphone opérationnels au besoin

      Déplacer les meubles selon les directives de la direction, notamment les tables, les chaises, les tabourets de bar, les banquettes, les tables de bar, les boîtes, l’équipement, etc.

      Bien connaître tous les aspects des procédures, politiques et procédures d’urgence de la compagnie dans le manuel de l’employé, ainsi que l’emplacement géographique de l’exploitation et savoir où se trouve exactement tout l’équipement opérationnel

      Maintenir une connaissance approfondie de tous les fournisseurs du marché, des menus des fournisseurs et des boissons offerts dans le marché

      Maintenir une connaissance approfondie du stationnement, des voies de transport et des stations de métro environnantes

      Aider et/ou accomplir les tâches supplémentaires assignées

Exigences générales:

        18 ans et plus.

        Preuve d’admissibilité à travailler au Canada.

 

Formation:

        Diplôme d’études secondaires préférable.

 

Connaissances pratiques:

      Au moins un (1) an d’expérience en tant qu’hôte/hôtesse dans un restaurant à grand volume/gastronomique ou une activité d’accueil connexe

      Connaissance approfondie des activités de restauration, y compris les aliments, les boissons, les techniques de service et l’interaction avec les clients

      Ouverture et fermeture des fonctions

      Techniques de levage appropriées

      Relations avec les invités

      Hygiène et sécurité

      Service d’alcool sécuritaire

Role Overview

We love what we do – and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.

Our Market Ambassadors are the first impression of the Market and must provide clear information to each arriving guest to ensure that each enjoys a memorable experience with each visit.


Responsibilities:

      Monitor entrance and exit areas and greet guests as they arrive

      Provide guests information on the Market upon arrival to enhance their knowledge of the operation and their experience

      Provide each guest with a sincere thank you upon their departure with an invitation to return

      Monitor and guests both entering and exiting and ensure that no outside food and or beverage is entering the Market and that no alcoholic beverages leave the Market

      Inform Market Management and Security of any incidents or potential incidents 

      Perform all assigned duties as detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklists

      Answer calls promptly and provide information correctly

      Complete all administrative duties competently, efficiently, thoroughly, and in a timely manner

      Update all operational telephone numbers as needed

      Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, equipment, etc.

      Be fully conversant with every aspect of the Company’s emergency procedures, policies and procedures within employee handbook, and with the geographical layout of the operation and to know the exact whereabouts of all operational equipment

      Maintain a thorough knowledge of all Market Vendors, Vendor Menu offerings and beverage offerings in the Market

      Maintain a thorough knowledge of surrounding parking, ferries and subway stations with associated trains

      Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned

      Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a host/hostess in a high-volume/ fine dining restaurant or associated hospitality operation

      Thorough knowledge of restaurant operations including food, beverage, service techniques and guest interaction

      Opening and closing duties

      Proper lifting techniques

      Guest relations

      Sanitation and safety

      Safe alcohol service
