Management Accountant

Division: Time Out Market Finance
Location: London
Reporting to: Time Out Market Finance Manager

Please note: as this role covers the US Time Out Markets, we would expect the successful candidate to work 11am - 7pm to overlap with US hours

Key Responsibilities

(Overall business partnering with GMs and FM)

  • Analysis of revenues across the Time Out Market US division
  • Production of management accounts for US entities (ensuring the accuracy, integrity of revenue recognition, control and timeliness to contribute to management accounts)
  • P&L review call with GMs, FM and FD
  • Post accrual and Pre-payments
  • Sales tax return for the US business
  • Reviewing pay list for the US business
  • Perform Balance Sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Preparation of Annual budgets and update forecast
  • Assist FM in year-end process and Annual audit
  • Reporting any issues to FM (as appropriate) when these could have an impact on the integrity or timeliness of the accounts
  • Working with the FM, FD and GMs (as appropriate) to improve and streamline the reporting outputs for the senior management
  • Ensuring that all information is accurate and checked before submitted monthly in accordance with the finance timetable
  • Assist FM in submit financial reports timely to ensure that other consolidation and board pack can be prepared on time
  • Undertaking special finance-related projects as required on FM/FD request
  • Point of Contact for the year-end audit process for the US entities
  • Weekly cash-flow management for US entities
  • Reporting to General managers on various KPI and monthly accounts
  • Concessionaire revenue reporting and payments
  • Daily Sales tracking for the KPIs and analysis purpose
  • Monthly reconciliations (various)
  • Payroll analysis and reconciliation

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified/Finalist accountant with experience in working within a finance team with 5 years’ experience
  • Strong accounting skills 
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Team management experience
  • Experience of accounting software systems preferably in SAP
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to relate to an international audience
