Product Designer

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented Product Designer / UX/UI Designer to join our team in London. You'll join a small cross-functional team that’s working to help Time Out users discover the best of their city through an engaging discovery experience.

You'll be a passionate designer who is in their element solving problems and has the skills to follow ideas through from conception to execution.

Key Responsibilities

● You will be a core part of our Product team. You will have the opportunity to get involved in every area of the product design process, from initial research and problem definition through to visual design.
● You will also work closely with our product and development teams to implement and refine your designs in a way that balances technical feasibility and experience improvements.
● You will combine data with business requirements to create designs for iterative testing.
● You will participate and plan user research activities, interpret and analyse insights and make appropriate recommendations.
● You will create interfaces and interactions for new and existing functionality which are in line with our design principles and style guide.
● You will present and articulate design ideas and solutions in a compelling way, whilst welcoming the constructive criticism of your work and be able to constructively review the work of others.
● You will be part of a team that is eager to learn and grow and want to create amazing products. You will have the opportunity to not only deliver great work but also help to improve our overall design approach and strategy.

Skills and Experience

● A passion for understanding the user and solving their problems.
● Previous experience in UI/UX/research (1-3+ years ideally).
● A can-do and positive attitude, and a proactive mindset.
● Ability to communicate and explain design decisions, and seek feedback regularly.
● A portfolio showcasing experience in creating user-centred experiences.
● Have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
