Role Overview

This is a media sales role on the Time Out Singapore sales team, requiring a disciplined, hungry, numbers focused and client-facing salesperson who can drive revenue from media agency and direct client relationships.

To be successful, the candidate must have excellent knowledge of the lifestyle and entertainment industries and must be able to navigate and identify who the decision makers are and build relationships with them. Additionally they will be able to passionately demonstrate an interest in the
subject matter with personal examples. The candidate will be responsible for seeking out and developing new businesses and increasing spend from existing partners with a consultative approach to selling.

The candidate must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record in generating significant revenues. The ideal fit would be a candidate who is ambitious and keen to have genuine influence internally and externally.

The role requires the candidate to generate revenue across Time Out’s multi channel platforms including event sponsorships via proactive outbound sales activity, building and maintaining relationships with media agencies and brand marketers, develop creative solutions against client briefs, and ensuring the clients receive top tier customer service in all aspects of their experience with Time Out during the entire sales cycle including post sales.

This role bears ultimate ownership and responsibility to achieve assigned revenue targets in his/her allocated sectors and agencies.


● Generate leads and efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects through excellent relationship management
● Ability to manage all key stakeholders
● Understand and keep up-to-date with constant developments in the market
● Identify areas for expansion and development
● Develop targeted short-term and long-term new business strategies
● Create weekly/monthly forecasts on individual revenue vs target management and end of month reports on revenue and market performance of assigned sectors and agencies
● Deliver against these targets to ensure revenue expectations are met
● Working closely with internal teams to develop bespoke campaigns for potential clients
● Provide inputs for sales and marketing collaterals
● Be an ambassador of Time Out Singapore maximize networking opportunities and regularly using events, trade roadshows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts


● Minimum 2 years of experience within Media Sales, Business Development, New Business or with a Media Agency
● Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
● Highly motivated, performance-driven and result-oriented to hit targets
● Excellent problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication and presentation skills
● Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
● Experience working in a marketing/publishing/media environment and understanding of the industry
● Excellent networking skills
● Ability to work under pressure
● Ability to set and manage priorities

● Ability to close short term volume sales and long term partnerships
● Ability to articulate creative ideas and present proposals in front of clients
